Grilled porterhouse, hot soup, salad, fries and bottled water. 700 arp. Cooked on the grill in dining room. Really nice surprise in this town, loved it!

Dining at Parrilla 'El Petiso' is less about the food and more about the experience—and what an experience it was! The place doesn't have a menu; instead, a modest sign near the entrance lists the five or so dishes on offer. With my limited Spanish, deciphering this culinary code felt like an adventure in itself. We started with a vegetable soup that was surprisingly delicious—both my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Then came the grilled steak, and let me tell you, it was something else. The meat was so tough that even the knife struggled, and I felt like a lion wrestling with a freshly caught zebra. It was so bad, it crossed the line into being oddly enjoyable—an unforgettable battle between man and steak. The aftermath? Let's just say my digestive system turned into a full-scale gas plant for the night. Despite the culinary challenges, though, the atmosphere of the place made it all worthwhile. There's a certain charm to its rustic, no-frills vibe that made the whole experience memorable. As for the price, it’s on the higher side—around 50 for two—which might feel steep considering the quality of the food. But honestly, you're paying for the unique character of the place and the stories you'll walk away with. So, if you ever find yourself in Gobernador Costa, give 'El Petiso' a try. Just be prepared for a meal that’s as much an adventure as it is sustenance!

A very good place for lunch or dinner, a strategic location, very good attention, especially that of the owner, a man over 80 years old with a special attention that he provides, I recommend the soup that is served, it makes you regain strength and warmth , it is worth getting to this place, I recommend it

Stopped here without knowing that it is supposedly famous in the area. Not much choice (you can have the soup that comes in a big soupentof and you serve yourself, beef costella with a fried egg and oven baked potato). We also opted for salad and dessert (there were 2 choices). Total 66000, we paid cash (so didn’t encounter the issues some of the travelers wrote about). No thrills, local ambiance homemade flavors. I loved the big bbq in the dining area and the fact that my clothes didn’t smell of cooking afterwards :)
